-Stacey Sheridan
I was born and raised in Georgia, earning my B.S. Ed in Kinesiology from the University of Georgia, and my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia. After graduating in 2009, the Pacific Northwest drew me west and I began my career working at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
This was a unique experience! I gained valuable and highly-specialized training in McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and treatment for the spine and extremities, amputations, ALS, and vestibular conditions.
Additionally, working with patients at the Intrepid Spirit Center clinic at Madigan Army Medical Center gave me further experience and specialized training in polytrauma and vestibular and balance rehabilitation.
Now married with two children, I’ve been expanding my interests in physical therapy care. Both children are neurodiverse, and partnering in care with our occupational therapist has expanded my horizons in early childhood development.
Gaining knowledge and skill in vestibular training, sensory integration, and regulation strategies as I care for my children has been eye-opening and exciting. It has not taken me long to develop a strong passion and interest in working with children!
Living through the pandemic of COVID-19 has reminded me of the importance of good health and quality care. Discovering virtual care for me and my children has been a lifesaver, offering flexible, convenient, and prompt help. My recent significant neck injury and virtual care has only reinforced this to me.
These experiences have led me to create Sound Care Physical Therapy. I want to help you! My vision is to improve your access to care and to give you the care that you need. Professional, skilled, helpful care. Sound Care. And if I can’t personally help you, I’ll help you find someone who can.
Sound Care Physical Therapy can help you; give me a call and let’s talk!
