Sound Care Values
Sound Care for you. Sound Care for life.
Hi. I’m Stacey Sheridan, and the things I value, the things I’ve learned, and the things I’ve experienced have all led me to create Sound Care Physical Therapy. Through it I hope to help you be well, healthy, happy, and sound.
Efficiency and Flexibility
My goals are to be efficient and flexible with your care, making the best use of our time and energy.
Counterintuitively, sometimes being efficient means taking longer at the beginning, so that we really figure out all the issues and plan the best course of action. I love spending extra time with people when it’s needed and helpful, but don’t like wasting time on things that aren’t important.
Flexibility in care is important. We can meet virtually or in a place you choose, and often at a time that is more convenient for you. I can help you access care quickly and easily. Skip the long waits for appointment times and call me for help!
Education and Communication
I value your long-term wellness, your quality of life, and your desire to balance life’s demands and joys. Your opinions and experiences are important to me! Let’s talk about your issues, your health goals, and what treatment options work best for your life.
I have expertise, experience, and empathy to communicate treatment to you, but I also want to educate you so you are empowered to take control of your own health. Self-care is an important tool to health, but I’m also available to help you when needed.
We’ll work together to create strategies and solutions for progress and success, and keep in frequent communication to make timely adjustments. A virtual visit can be just the thing to keep you on track between in-person sessions!
Effectiveness and Prevention
I value effective care and working towards prevention.
I use a systematic diagnosis and treatment method that looks at how your whole body affects your specific issue. We want to get to the root of the problem and get you back to the activities you enjoy!
I am detail-oriented and can notice the subtle changes in you that will help guide recovery. I can help you get the treatment you need, empower you to utilize self-treatment, and prevent future issues.
Stress and Security
Stress? Stress? Yes, I value stress, but not the kind you are thinking of! Dysfunctional tissue in your body can need certain stress to heal, to feel better, to be stronger. I know when, where, and how stress on your body is good, and when it is harmful.
Stresses that do need to be reduced: hurtful stresses on joints, stress caused by disability, stress hurting individuals and families, stress in the nervous system.
I aim to reduce the hurtful stresses, increase the helpful stresses, and lead you to a sense of security. My goal is for you to feel secure in the approach used in your care. I want you to have security in your ability to recover, and security that you will be able to do the things you need to do and want to do.
